The Directors are responsible for the determination of the Company’s investment objective and policy and have overall responsibility for the Group’s activities including the review of investment activity and performance.

The Directors are as follows:
Duncan Owen, Duncan is the CEO of Invista Real Estate Investment Management and one of the founders of the company. Before founding the company in 2006 Duncan was managing director of the property division at Insight Investment and was responsible for setting the strategy to grow the division. Prior to this he was a founding partner of specialist boutique, Gatehouse Investment Management, being instrumental in establishing and developing the business. During his career he was also a partner at Jones Lang Wootton and a director at LaSalle Investment Management. Duncan studied at Insead Business School and is an FSA approved person and a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
Philip Gadsden, Philip joined Invista in October 2003 as Head of External Funds. In May 2007 he was appointed Deputy Chief Executive Officer, making him responsible with the CEO for executing the Company’s strategy. Prior to joining the company, he co-founded the specialist boutique fund manager Gatehouse Investment Management having previously been an international director of LaSalle Investment Management. He began his career at Jones Lang Wootton and spent a number of years employed in Finance. Philip has more than 20 years’ experience in the industry and is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, a member of the Investment Property Forum and a FSA Approved Person.
Nick Montgomery, Nick joined Invista, formerly Insight Investment, in October 2003 as a Director within the property investment division and has progressed to become Head of UK Listed Funds. One of the key areas of Nick’s responsibility focuses on his role as Fund Manager of Invista Foundation Property Trust. Previously Nick worked at the Gatehouse Investment Management, managing the Westbury Property Fund and identifying and acquiring property assets with third party equity and debt. He started his investment management career in 1999 as an Associate Director at LaSalle Investment Management managing institutional pension fund property portfolios. Nick’s first job was at Chesterton International plc as a senior surveyor.
Nick holds a BSc (Hons) in Estate Surveying from Nottingham Trent University and is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS). In 2003 he also completed the UKSIP Investment Management Certificate.
Mark Long, Mark Long heads up the Investment strategy and research and Indirect Investment teams at Invista. The main focus of Mark’s work is the formulation of achievable top-down investment strategies, risk analysis and the preparation of market forecasts. Prior to working at Invista he was Head of Research at Aberdeen Property Asset Managers and prior to that he held a similar position at Celexa Real Estate investment management.
Mark is an economist by training having gained his BA Hons in Economics at UC Swansea before joining Investment Property Databank, where he completed the MSc in Property Investment at the City University Business School. Mark is an FSA approved person and a member of IPF and SPR.
